My fine art photography, as distinguished from casual photography, is an attempt to explore and articulate the soul of the photographic subject. It is not just a snapshot of things as I find them, but it is an interpretation of their spirit, their mood, and their relationships. It is my attempt to create art as it appeared to me when I was there.

The fast flowing Chauga River is squeezed into a chute called the Chauga Narrows which drops 25 feet over a 200-foot run creating a Class VI rapid. The Chauga river is a great place to try out the fly rod on some of those rainbow and brown trout.

This is a photograph I made a while back of a homeless war veteran..I'm always wondering where he is now?..I helped him out with a little cash and he made me promise if this photo became famous I would split the profits..It's a shame anyone has to live like this !!
I made this photograph after sunset at Portman Marina on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, S.C...I made this particular image a while back when the water was way down. I actually forgot about this one. I'm glad I found it because I love this photo.
